These Terms of Use govern your use of the Memo — One Line a Day app ("the App"), operated by Jacob Lines ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.
Memo is a daily journaling app designed to help you capture one line each day and reflect on your past entries over time. It is a personal journaling tool and is not a medical device, a clinical tool, or a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
Memo offers a free tier and a paid subscription (Memo Pro). Memo Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription processed by Apple via in-app purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods except where required by law.
All journal entries and data you create in Memo are stored locally on your device. We have no access to your entries. If you delete the app, your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
You agree to use Memo only for its intended personal journaling purpose. You must not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it.
Memo is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not liable for any loss of data, including if you delete the app. Your journal entries are your responsibility — we strongly recommend keeping your device backed up via iCloud to protect your entries.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page will reflect any updates.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
